The Trustees are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Level 2 Teaching Assistant, who will also undertake 30 minutes of lunchtime supervision daily, to join our school family in Trysull.
All Saints’ C.E. Primary is a warm, welcoming and community minded school situated in a small village on the outskirts of Staffordshire. As a church school, we are proud of our links to our community and believe passionately in providing the best possible educational outcomes for our children.
Working under the supervision of the Class Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting a child with SEN needs (on a 1:1 basis) as well as working with small groups in class, and/or delivering structured interventions. In addition to your Teaching Assistant responsibilities, you will be expected to cover lunchtime duties once a week, for one hour per week.
The ideal person will have the following skills/experience:
Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a Primary classroom setting;
Good numeracy and literacy skills;
Excellent inter-personal skills;
Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team;
Ability to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the working environment;
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar;
Experience/understanding of phonics teaching (preferably Little Wandle).
