Headteacher - (Ref: SBMAT362) - Woodfield Primary School

Location: Woodfield Avenue, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, WV4 4AG

Salary Range L21 – L27 (£84,699 - £98,106) 

(potential additional incremental points available for an exceptional candidate)

 

Due to the retirement of the current Headteacher, the Trustees of St. Bartholomew’s CE Multi-Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an inspirational, values-driven and child-centered experienced Headteacher to lead Woodfield Primary School on the next stage of its journey.  This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader to build on current strengths and lead Woodfield into the next chapter of its journey of excellence.  


Woodfield Primary School is a vibrant and sought-after Outstanding three-form entry primary school in Penn Wolverhampton, educating 650 children aged 3-11. Our team is passionate about creating an environment where every child can excel, grow, and feel truly valued through our core values of Ambition,  Belief and Courage.


Woodfield was judged to be Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted (February 2024).  Achievement is strong and our  2025 end of KS2 outcomes are well above national percentages. Disadvantaged pupils’ attainment places the school in the top 25% nationally, as recognised by the Secretary of State for Education in a commendation letter (February 2026).
