The Directors are seeking to appoint a level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND/SEMH provision) who is keen to play a significant role in supporting the education of children with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis at our welcoming and successful school. The role would entail both in class support and undertaking nurture work to enable children to meet their potential and flourish.
We are looking for a highly effective practitioner with:
proven successful experience of working with children with SEND, particularly those children with SEMH needs
experience of delivering targeted interventions in groups and one to one
experience of supporting children with SEND to access a suitable and ambitious curriculum within the classroom
a commitment to ensuring that children reach their full potential
an understanding of a range of complex additional educational needs
high expectations of children and a commitment to raising standards
excellent interpersonal skills
commitment to the church ethos of the school
