Teaching Assistant – General Level 2 (Ref: SBMAT55)


Teaching Assistant – Level 2 – 30 hours per week - (Monday to Friday – 8.45am to 3.15pm) – Fixed Term Contract to 31st August 2022 - Term Time Only – (Actual Salary: Between £12,455 - £13,029 pa).


Haughton St Giles C.E. Primary Academy is a small, family orientated village school, situated on the outskirts of West Staffordshire, who are actively looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support their Year 1/2 Class.

Working under the supervision of the Class Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting the pupils in class as well as working with small groups delivering structured interventions.

The ideal person will have the following skills/experience:


- Minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a Primary classroom environment;

- Good numeracy and literacy skills;

- Excellent inter-personal skills;

- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team;

- Ability to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the working environment;

- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar.

- Experience of phonics group teaching (preferably Read, Write, Inc.)
